This week's theme made me think about all the stuff we carry onto the beach every time we go. No longer am I lugging the kids' paraphernalia, but the chairs, the beach bag, cooler, and umbrella are still part of the trek from car to sand.
I am a retired high school art teacher who enjoys drawing and painting, but who now works predominately as a printmaker in my small home studio. I love exploring various block printing techniques, and print everything by hand without a press, using water soluble inks.
Whatever I do as an artist, I have to remind myself---no pressure---it all starts by just putting pencil to paper.
Such good stuff to carry! What a cute little face peeking over her shoulder :)

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great day at the beach! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThere's always so much to carry to the beach when you have kids, but so worth the work. Your illustration represents this beautifully.
ReplyDeleteAll for the purpose of a little R&R- but so worth it in the long run! Happy summer to you! :o)
