For this week's IF word, "identical", I was thinking about the mother-daughter identical outfits that I believe were more popular back in my childhood than today. I did find a few photos of myself and my younger sister wearing our identical dresses that my grandmother had made. It appears that at my birthday parties, for several years, she and I had matching outfits. At this one, I am 5 and she is two.

Oh my good ness, I remember wearing mother-daughter outfits that my mom sewed for us! Great painting!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's not quite the same but I certainly got a lot of hand-me-downs that weren't quite in style seven years after the first sister. Eek. Beautiful illustration! So cute and fun.
ReplyDeleteVery cute illustration!
ReplyDeleteI really admire your art. I saw some at a local doctor's office, and decided to check out your blog. Your watercolors, sketches, and block prints are all beautiful! After learning that you teach art, I was wondering if you would be willing to teach a homeschool art class? We live in Goffstown, too! If you would like to discuss it, my email address is larsonnh@gmail.com. Thank you, and enjoy your art!
