A Tiny Butterfly

This is the smallest reductive block print that I have ever made! It's for the "2015 Minumental Show" at the NH Institute of Art. Every artwork must be no larger than 4" x 4" in size for this show, and be priced for $55.95 or less. The show opens on January 28th.

They used to be no larger than 2" x 2" for previous shows. I guess I should have read the fine print before I carved the block. It's so cute though!

NHIA Minumental Show

The 2014 Minumental Show at the NH Institute of Art opens Friday January 24th

These are the two pieces I submitted this year. They are only 2"x 2"(as is everything in the show), and all the artworks have to be priced at $44.95 or less. There are always so many great little masterpieces to choose from!

Minumental Exhibition 2012

These are the two images that I've entered in the New Hampshire Institute of Art's 10th Annual Minumental Exhibition. They look pretty big here, but they are actually only 2" x 2". Every piece in the show is this size. The 2-D pieces are in uniform large white mats (11" x 14"), and the 3-D work must fit a 2"x 2" x 2" limit. All the artwork is for sale with a maximum price set at $44.95. The show opens in the Amherst Street Gallery on January 25th, and sales begin at 12:30pm. These images were inspired by a series of photographs my husband took last winter in our yard. The media I used was Prismacolor colored pencils and watercolor.
