"Swamp"

For this week's Illustration Friday sketch, what came to my mind was the image of an old bullfrog playing his guitar while hanging out in his swamp.

We had an unusually hot week last week---4 days in the 80's. All sorts of records were broken for temperatures in March. As of today and the week ahead, we're back to normal for the season---40's and 50's. A little taste of summer was a treat, but as a high school teacher, the warm weather makes it hard to keep the students focused. Senioritis is definitely on the rise with a little less than 3 months to go!

  7. Pretty! I like the muted colors and classic fairy-tale illustrative style. Looks like it belongs in a book of fairy tales.

  8. Really great drawing! I love how you captured the frog from the back! And the snail seems to be quite appreciative of his talents.

  10. Hi Jane! I really liked this drawing. I am a Dutch student and for my creative writing class I wrote (an unfinished) children’s story about a frog named Freddy and this drawing was a huge inspiration. Thank you!
