Illustration Friday "Vanity" or the Emperor's New Clothes
Rainy cold day with temperatures in the 40s---not too pleasant for school vacation week. One more day, then milder in the afternoon. Hello May, hope you are an improvement over April!

I just finished this print in time for Easter. After Sunday service, we had a lovely day visiting my husband's family-- the weather was mild and sunny, and the brunch was delicious. It was also great to have my girls home for the weekend!

Illustration Friday "Zodiac"
Since I have an April birthday, and my sign of the zodiac is Aries, I drew a little ram to illustrate this week's IF post. I ended up using pen and ink, watercolor, gouache, and colored pencil to build up the values of the night sky.
Very summery today! Too bad it can't last---back to the 40s for mid-week. At least it's not snow!

I'm a little late for last week's Illustration Friday topic, but I'll post it here, and see if I can catch up on the newest one.
The weather is pretty decent here today. A little breezy, but the sun is out and the temperature is 53. I took a picture of my backyard yesterday to show how much snow is still left. We get limited sun there, so it's taking quite a long while to melt.
Working on a new print for Easter. Only two weeks, so I'd better get printing!
Have a great week!

My prints are drying on my handi-dandy IKEA wire clip hanger. It's a perfect solution for the lack of space in the studio for things to dry. I have it installed above the sliding glass doors in the studio.
This is one of the prints of the rocks at Odiorne State Park that I'm just finishing.
And this of course is Sadie hanging out on my lap while I read the Sunday paper.
Happily, April 1st has been a beautiful, mild day! Looks like we'll be finally seeing some Spring weather this week!
