Illustration Friday "giant"

I wish I had planted giant sunflowers this year. The goldfinches love to eat the seeds from them after the flowers go by. I did pick some snap peas for dinner last night, and the raspberries are ripe. Getting ready to cook burgers and dogs on the grill for a traditional 4th of July supper. Happy Independence Day!

  2. This is absolutely beautiful! I've always loved giant flowers like sunflowers and hollyhocks. You've managed to capture the wonder and beauty of the sunflower, it makes me want to be in that garden! And the little girl is adorable.

  6. Normally the sunflowers look at the Sun, but in this case the girl is so beautiful that it shines more than the Sun, and the sunflowers take a bow

  9. What a happy illustration, Jane! I love sunflowers! They are one of my most favorite flowers. This is actually, one of the first years where we don't have a sunflower fort for the girls. Even our neighbor said, "oh no, no sunflowers this year." ha ha!
