Finishing up a busy weekend by posting this week's Illustration Friday image. I used black prismacolor pencil, vine charcoal, and Lunar Black watercolor on a smooth heavyweight paper.
Adorable! Reminds me a bit of illustration styles in Beverly Cleary books (although it's been ages and I might be imagining things!) Really cute and a neat idea.
A lovely drawing. I really enjoy seeing pencil work when so much is full colour now-a-days. Pencil has a lovely 'life' to the line. I wonder what story she is telling about her cat?
I am an art teacher who loves to draw and paint, as well as illustrate for children. I also enjoy printmaking---especially block prints. Whatever I do as an artist, I have to remind myself---no pressure---it all starts by just putting pencil to paper.
Very nice! Great illustration.
